Actress Takako Matsu, 32, and comedian-actor Tsurube Shofukutei, 58, took out the Best Actress and Best Actor awards respectively at the 83rd “Kinema Junpo Best Ten” ceremony held in Ginza this week.
Matsu won her award for her role in “Villain’s wife” and Shofukutei won for his role in “Dear Doctor,” which also took out the award for Best Japanese Film. Clint Eastwood’s “Gran Torino” won for Best Foreign Film.
Shofukutei said he was happy to be on the cover of KineJun’s latest issue and that he would treasure it for the rest of his life, but apologized to Matsu for her having to appear beside him.
